Month 5 Adventures

This last month I didn't have any exciting travels or meet anyone new. This month was me trying new things, discovering new things, and getting used to mommy being at work while I spent my days with Granddaddy. I had a successful 4 month checkup and grew so much. My birthmark on my arm looks so much better. I take my medicine like a champ. I got to celebrate some birthdays of some of my friends. I went to my first birthday party last month. This month I got to celebrate my friend Stella's first birthday. Mommy even let me have a small lick of icing from Stella's cake. She said no one should be at a birthday party and be denied cake. I also got to try a wafer cookie. I can eat that despite my lack of teeth. I can gum down anything. I mean business. This last month also had me trying new foods. Mom and dad have fed me every type of beginner veggie Gerber makes. Peas are my favorite. Then mom had a brilliant idea to have me try some meat. She started with ham. Let me tell you something....that stuff is nasty! I was not here for that business. But no matter how aggressively I tried to spit it out, mama just kept shoveling it back in. Something about needing to give it a chance. Whatever! What really made me mad was that she gave it to me again the next day. Why? I already told her I didn't like it. Now when she gave me beef, that was a different story! That stuff is good. I mean really good. As in "I want to attack the spoon" good. Mama says that I'm a natural Texan since I enjoyed that beef. I'm coming for you, steak. When I get some chompers, that is. They better make some room for me at the table at Texas de Brazil.....
I've tried peaches and pears so far. I haven't quite made up my mind about them yet. I think I'm going to hold out for something better. I really love my cereal. I can go to town on some rice cereal. Then mama let me have oatmeal. That, too, is quite tasty. Just give me all the cereal. Mama finally quit stressing over my morning bottle intake. I just don't like to eat very much first thing in the morning. The rest of my bottles I will suck down without a problem. It's not like I'm not gaining weight. I mean, have you seen my cheeks? The rolls on my thighs? Trust me, I'm eating enough. I'm also a really caring and considerate daughter. I let my parents sleep through the night. Like, all night. I'm ready for bed by 9:00 every night. I will sleep so peacefully until they wake me up in the morning to go to Granddaddy's house. Granddaddy is super fun to stay with. He has so many fun toys for me to play with. He also loves to hold and snuggle me. He lets me watch baby TV, too. He's just so funny. When I'm with my daddy, he takes me to the mall! Daddy  loves pushing me around in the stroller around the mall. Be careful, daddy. You may be creating a mall monster.....
I do miss my mama while she's at work. When she does come home, I have the biggest smile on my face for her. She spends her evenings cuddling me and playing with me. She reads me bedtime stories and sings me to sleep.

Here is my life this month in pictures:

My little black dress

College football is here. Mama had to make sure I was ready. She's teaching me early who the right team is....

My great PaPa and Granny bought me this batman dress.
